    My horses get only second cutting hay as I've never had luck getting them to eat first cutting. It would all become mulch. I saw a picture of Boomhower's first cutting and thought I'd give it a try. They delivered - unloaded and stacked over 100 bales into my barn in less than 15 minutes. I took some out to the pasture as soon as they left. There were still piles of second cutting untouched. The horses came over and demolished the Boomhower hay. Same when they came into the stalls - went for the first cutting over the second. I don't think any of this hay will be wasted and am so glad I tried it out. More leaf than stem, very green and obviously quite tasty.
